Prehabvet Foundations Course – £82, 6 weeks
Launching Prehabvet Hub is our new beta course, focused on foundation. Learn why slow is smooth, and smooth is fast by identifying and influencing basic, neutral postures.
Learn to identify good posture, how to influence it and why it’s important. As our first release, be the first to peek at our new platform and benefit from an introductory course price.
Prehabilitation is a cornerstone of sports management, designed to help athletes reach their potential while reducing their chance of injury. Highly individualized, we focus on performance by breaking down movement, muscle, and brain function.
Prehabvet is for all competitors, from novice to championship. We focus on movement and muscle function to reduce the load on your canine partner. Stress load limits speed, stamina, setups and sequences.
THE GOAL
What do you learn on the course?
Gain the skills to assess your dog’s posture and identify early issues. This course lays a strong foundation for the first tenant of all sports performance: finding neutral. Standing still may not always be sexy, but we can teach you how it bridges athletic gaps. Static work and postural identification are essential to all later aspects of sports performance – from flexibility and muscle building, to fascial health and skill training.
Learn with sports veterinarian, Dr. Carter. Using fourteen years of clinical expertise and twenty years of training and competing with working dogs, we can offer your team achievable knowledge through experience and results.
Pelvis
Mild tilt – check sacroiliac mobility.
Foot Position
Base neutral, even weight distribution.
Fascial Elasticity
Mild increase in tension lateral arm lines, check ribcage flexibility.
Distal Limb
Good pectoral support, thoracic tension means mild increase in carpal shock absorption.
